Pauline Kress

Pauline Kress is Chief of Staff at Riot Ventures, where she supports firm-wide strategy, portfolio execution, and internal operations. She works across early-stage and growth investments, helping drive initiatives in fundraising, portfolio support, and organizational design.

Before joining Riot, Pauline spent five years in engineering and operations at General Motors, where her work spanned the full vehicle development cycle—designing control systems and human-machine interfaces for automated driving features, supervising a unionized shift on the assembly line, and leading large-scale vehicle testing programs. She later transitioned into corporate strategy, where she led forecasting and business planning for a $10B+ portfolio, aligning teams across marketing, finance, regulatory, and distribution.

Pauline holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from McGill University, where she captained the Formula Electric racing team. She’s fluent in English, French, and the language of half-finished art projects.
