Collier Bern

Collier leads capital formation and the firm’s growth investing platform. He concentrates on companies emerging from the Riot ecosystem with an entrenched competitive position that will mobilize decades of growth through the private and public markets. Prior to Riot, he was at R7 Ventures, an early stage, deep tech fund based in Chicago. Collier spent the early part of his career at BMO Capital Markets where he helped companies close complex, cross border acquisitions across tech, healthcare, and food. Collier’s superpower is guiding companies through the maze of fundraising and financing options to shape a custom-built capital structure and growth strategy that paves the way for a blockbuster IPO or exit.

Collier grew up in Chicago and earned his BBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In his spare time, Collier champions special needs causes and is an aspiring hockey rink builder, relive the glory days wakeboarder and active distributor of completely ignored life advice to his 3 kids.
